Job Title: Accountant, Full-timeJob Title: Accountant Job Type: Full-time Location: Maspeth, New York. Requires in office attendance, remote work not available. Hours: Regular – 9 AM to 5 PM, Mon-Fri; Tax Season (Feb-Apr) – 9 AM to 7 PM, Mon-Sat. Salary Range: $50,000 (1-2 years’ experience) to $60,000 (seasoned accountant) annually Estimated Start Date: TBD Job Description: We are a small accounting firm seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will manage our client's financial records, prepare financial reports, and analyze financial data to help our clients make informed business decisions. Additionally, you will prepare and file individual and business tax returns. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for our clients Prepare and analyze financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements Prepare tax returns and other financial statements as required by clients Provide financial guidance to clients to help them make informed business decisions Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations Assist clients with audits and other financial matters Review and prepare individual and business tax returns Accurately enter data in tax software such as ProSeries Communicate with clients and other stakeholders in a professional and timely manner Supervise and mentor bookkeeping and payroll staff Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred, not required) CPA certification (preferred, not required) Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Desktop (Certified Pro Advisor preferred, not required) Skilled using Microsoft Excel: formulas, formatting, data import/export Experienced using Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook Familiarity with CRM and document management systems and tools Able to utilize available tools to quickly and accurately problem solve Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, oral and written Ability to work independently and as part of a team If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established small local firm with an outstanding work-life balance, competitive salary, and benefits, please visit www.paceaccounting.com/apply to submit your resume for consideration.
